There are now a lot of people working remotely. And there are some, usually contact center agents, that are not only working remotely, but do not have a DID. Before the PBX administrator would have to assign every remote worker a DID. Not anymore, with the 911 Secure Waypoint solution, a temporary DID from a pool of DID's will be assigned to any agent/remote user calling 911. And for a time period after the call reserve that DID to that user in the event the PSAP calls the user back. Then after a fixed time, place the DID back in the pool to be used again.
No longer does every remote user need DID for 911 purposes, a small number of DID's can support hundreds or even thousands of remote users.
