When a VoIP phone moves, how do you ensure that the correct location of that phone is reported to the PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) when a 911 call is placed? 911 Secure's SENTRY™ Sentinel web application receives all phone registration events, then SENTRY™ Sentinel will assign an ELIN (Emergency Location Identification Number) based on IP address/subnet, network switch, network switch/port, or wireless access point. Once a match is found, SENTRY™ Sentinel updates the phone record in the PBX. SENTRY™ Sentinel also ensures that the ELIN is routed to the correct PSAP with all the location information of the phone.
